Local Missions we support
Faith Promise 2024
We are excited to announce that we will be celebrating our Faith Promise Days on Sunday, February 4 and February 11 at all of our worship services. Faith Promise is our devotion and commitment to kingdom work through missions, both locally and globally. Each February we turn our eyes toward those missionaries, churches and organizations that we financially support and make commitments for the following year to support them. Our Faith Promise is completely separate from our regular church budget. Faith Promise giving is over and above our regular giving. It is a joyful thing to bless other ministries and be part of something that is bigger than ourselves.
Our commitment is to support ministries across the globe that are growing, flourishing, bearing fruit and helping hurting people find peace with God. Our theme verse is Luke 4:18 where Jesus says, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recover of sight for the blind and to set the oppressed free.” Over these two Sundays each person will be challenged to think about their life and whether they are playing their in the gospel reaching the nations. We will get reports from some of our global missionaries like Judah Tangshing in Myanmar and Simprius in Gonaives, Haiti. We will be praying for the work that is being done around the world and even in our own backyards.
Lake Aurora Christian Assembly is a camp and retreat center dedicated to helping youth and families to develop core values based on Christian principles. It is our goal to give each participant a wholesome life experience in an outdoor setting.
Located on a crystal-clear lake, surrounded by wooded oak forests and citrus groves, Lake Aurora presents a peaceful, natural setting to enjoy lasting friendships, cozy campfires, and home-style cooking so good you'll want the recipe.
At Lake Aurora, experience God's creation in His sunrise over the lake, in a quiet walk through whispering trees, in the grandeur of the star strewn sky. These are experiences that make memories, build friendships and change lives.
To accomplish this, we network with churches, educational, public and private organizations who share compatible philosophies and goals.
Hand in Hand
Hand in Hand is a Christian, Faith Based and science driven, in-house recovery community. This is where our staff helps residents change the relationship they have with their lives by providing connection and purpose.
There are over 175 deaths per day related to addiction and overdoses in America. That is the equivalent to a jumbo jet full of passengers going down every day.
We bring recovery by offering resources through mentoring, guidance, and training for all positive life skills. We make a difference in our community by rebuilding lives and identifying potential of those in need. www.addictionhelp.solutions
Letter from Rebecca Randall, Hand in Hand Director of Development
“Seeking the lost…equipping the found.” That indeed is what we do here at our Men’s and Women’s Recovery Communities. We are a Christ centered recovery program. Our men’s program has been operating in Eustis and Lake County Florida since November of 2014. Our women’s program has been in operation since 2007 and recently relocated to Eustis where we were able to support our women better. Our goal is to assist men and women with addiction issues, to walk with them as they overcome their issues, show them how Christ can and will heal them. After completion of our Recovery programs it is our desire that these men and women return to their families and communities with the tools and skills that are pleasing to themselves, their families and more importantly God!
2020 was an amazing year in the life of our clients and in our ministry. GOD provided Hand in Hand with the opportunity to buy 2 new homes, one for the men’s ministry and one for the women’s ministry. An additional home for our men after graduation where they can learn to use the tools, they were given during their time in our Men’s recovery community.
In addition to the men’s home we were able to expand our ministry and program at the women’s recovery community as well. The women’s recovery community has been walking with women since March of 2007. We expanded our reach to women in Lake county and increased the number of women we can work with at any given time to 14. This allows us to better serve women after they graduate from our recovery program and to continue walking with them as the navigate life on life’s terms. We are always looking to GOD and following his prompting.
Eustis Elementary School
In 2019 our church family has “adopted” Eustis Elementary School. Our church has been invited to come on the campus and help at events and activities. We have provided supplies and met needs that otherwise would still be lacking for the school. In addition to these things, we have had families in our church “sponsor” a teacher. Each teacher was chosen by a family here at Lake Eustis who will send encouraging notes, bless with small gifts and generally support that teacher in the work they are doing. Our hope is that our generosity to the school will allow us the opportunity to share the gospel.
Agape House Food Pantry
Agape House Ministries operates to meet the tangible needs of those in our community by providing weekly food distribution, as well as clothing and other needs. Agape House is located in the house on the property of Lake Eustis Christian Church. They serve the community every Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Several people from Lake Eustis Christian Church volunteer in this ministry.
Loaves and Fishes
Loaves and Fishes help individuals or families who are having a hard time by providing groceries from essential
non-perishables to proteins and fresh produce.
Local Community Events
Fall Festival
Fall Festival is a positive alternative to trick-or-treating for the families in our community. Families in our church decorate the “trunks” of their cars or beds of
their trucks to participate in our Trunk or Treat while handing out candy to children in our community. There are bounce houses, games, candy, snow cones, free food and so much more. This is a great event to build relationships in the community.
The Christmas Store
Christmas Store is a community outreach during the holiday season that Lake Eustis Christian Church participates. Families from our church donate toys for all ages of kids during the month of November and December. We then invite families who are in a challenging position to come “shop” for their kids Christmas presents. All the toys are free for families. This ministry provides an opportunity for needs to be met and great conversations to be started with people who live in our community.
Mother's Day Car Care
On the weekend of Mother's day the men of our church take time to help Single and widowed mothers do some maintenance on their vehicles. We do inspections on the vehicles, change the oil, and give it a wash. All the while they can hang our and get some much needed R&R while they wait.
Relief Aid
Lake Eustis travels to areas
that have been impacted by natural disasters like hurricanes or tornadoes. In 2020 we traveled to Louisiana to help with
families who had devastated by the hurricanes that hit the state. In 2022 we traveled to the west coast of florida to help those impacted by Hurricane Ian. We partner with local churches to bring hope
and healing to the families in the community.
