Discipleship groups are an important part of our mission at LECC. In Discipleship groups we're able to connect with one another on a deeper level. Groups meet to have a time of fellowship (which can vary from social gatherings to service projects) and a time to dive into a deeper study of the scripture. Each group meets at different times throughout each month, some monthly, and some weekly. Great discussions and fellowship is had in discipleship groups. Below is a list of groups we have at LECC. Discipleship Groups

Abigail Wood: Young Adults 18-30
This groups meetings in conjunction with the Young Adult Ministry at Lake Eustis Christian. This group meets to promote healthy relationships and deeper discussions revolving around God’s word and its application to daily life. Topics that are covered will be Humility, Resisting Temptations, Power of Prayer, Finding a Place to Serve and many others.

jack Bliffen: Co-Ed Group
This group meets to dive into a deeper study of the scripture. Each week the group works through a section of scripture to discover the truths of God, while applying those truths to our daily life. Great discussion and fellowship is had in this group.

Steve and Cindy Handley: Co-Ed group
In this study we will ask and answer the question: Do believers today actually live the radically committed life that Jesus has called us to? What would it look like if we really applied the teachings of Jesus to our lives and lived in surrender to Him? This will be the focus of this Discipleship Group.

David and Evelyn Elliott
This group for adults is geared on healthy discussions that relate to life and Scripture. This group typically comes together over a meal and that develops into a deep discussion about faith, Jesus, the Bible and our how our lives intersect with God’s plan.

Stephanie Smith: Womens group
In this group ladies from all walks of life gather together to pray for each other, encourage each other and study God’s word together. This group meets at local parks to study God’s word while their children are playing. Super laid back and engaging. Be ready to build deep friendships and accountability.

Tony McCullough: Mens Group
Our culture has lost its definition of manhood, leaving generations of men and men-to-be confused about their roles, relationships and responsibilities. In this study we will discover seven virtues of manhood that keep us walking in the direction God has called us. We will learn to apply practical methods of how to disciple the next generation of men….learning how to put God first, family second and career third. If you’re a guy, this is the group for you.

Noel & Jackie Trejo: Co-Ed Group
This group will spend the first couple of months working through a Bible study that is built around the movie, The Forge, which was released in theaters in August. In the study the group will focus their time studying the concepts of seeing like Jesus, investing like Jesus, leading like Jesus and much more. This group meets every other Tuesday.

Jacob Mowers & Zoey Stowell: Young Adults 18-30
This groups meetings in conjunction with the Young Adult Ministry at Lake Eustis Christian. Brent and Michelle Elliott: Co-Ed
This group will focus on developing healthy relationships as we discuss how the Bible is relevant to all aspects of our life. We will spend time discussing the application of the Bible to our families, our relationships, our attitudes and much more. God has given us His word to bless our lives and we intend to use it that way.

Anna Brunold: Womens Group
Anger, fear, joy, happiness, wonder, and many more are natural responses to things in life. What would it look like to live an emotionally healthy life? What if we could realize that Jesus has given us the blueprint for dealing with all the emotions that we experience on a daily basis? In this class our ladies will discover a biblical approach to manage our emotions, rather than suppressing them. We will look at how Jesus dealt with his own emotions and how he responded to the people around Him as well.

Brent Elliott: Mens Group
In this men’s group the discussion revolves around how men can lead in the roles that God has given them. Men are challenged to become more faithful fathers to their children, to love their wives like Christ loved the church and how to model Christ-likeness to the community. As iron sharpens iron….we sharpen each other.

Tyler Bickhart: Co-ED Group
This group is comprised mostly of those on the worship team. This group gathers to study scripture and make it applicable to real life. The Discovery Bible study is used in this group that helps people take a passage of scripture and learn the truths in the text. Not only do we learn about the nature of God and Jesus, but people recognize how our lives much match the principles and commands we see in the Bible.

Ray Nichols: Mens Group
This group of men meets together to encourage each other, pray for one another and support the spiritual development of each man present. The other focus point of this group is helping tackle work projects at the church building. Jobs consist of remodels, painting, changing ac filters, and many other things.

Luis and Christina Lafaye: Co-ed Group
This is a group that devotes their time to helping people know and apply the essential truth about Christianity. In this Biblical Foundations study the topics of discussion include the Lordship of Jesus, Forgiveness, the Holy Spirit, Discipleship, Peace, Joy and many more. The Bible is given to us in order to give our lives blessings and knowing Jesus is the best way possible.

Doug and Holly Mcgannon: Co-ed Group
This group gathers families together for fun and fellowship. They dig deep into the word of God and make the scriptures real to life. Everyone joins in the discussion and topics range from prayer, to apologetics, to family, and all sorts of things….but always through the lens of what the Bible has to say.

Makenna and Piper: High School Girls
In this group for our High School girls, we will dive into a study from Sadie Robertson (Duck Dynasty) on how to live and thrive as a believer in Jesus. The world doesn’t really care what God wants….or at least they don’t act like it. The messages we see across social media and our youth culture tells us that many have rejected God’s way. But as Christians, we can be committed to living faithfully, even in the fire.
